"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.
(end)

All for one and one for all
My brother and my friend
What fun we have
The time we share
Brothers 'til the end.

In My Mind

Somewhere in my dreams tonight
I'll see you standing there
You look at me with a smile
"Life isn't always fair"
You say you were chosen for his garden
His preciously hand picked bouquet
"God really needed me,
That's why I couldn't stay"
It's said to be that angels
Are sent from above
I've always had my angel
My brother - whose heart was filled with love
Wherever the ocean meets the sky
There will be memories of you and I
When I look up at that sky so blue
All I see are visions of you
"While there's a heart in me, you'll be a part of me."

Goodbye, My Brother

My brother Tracy an awesome guy,

Everyone would agree that is no lie
You were so cute as a little boy,
You smiled at us and brought us joy.

Even though we had our little fights,
Over silly things like phone lines and wiring lights,
I never wanted to be a pest,
I needed your skills, cause you're the best.

I'm glad those times, were only a few,
It was hard for me to argue with you,
But that's just me, as you are you,
And in the end you always came through.

This is Olive Hill where you are from,
We are here with the all the family and Mom,
Our hearts are broken, as you know,
We really can't bear to let you go.

Sometimes you were so crazy,
I know that everyone here will agree with me,
That the Olive Hill Crew is the best there could ever be.

We wish so much that you were here,
Or just sitting on the porch with us havin' a beer.
It's happy thoughts that will get us through,
Like all the fun we shared with you.

And now my poem will come to an end,
Until the day we meet again,
I pray that you are now at peace.

Tracy

Several months ago I held your hands as we stood face to face with tear filled eyes and I said “ I’m not sure if I can do this” then you said “If you fall, I’ll fall” so we agreed to fall together as we took our first steps

toward what I thought would be the hardest

thing I would have to face as a soldier.

To say goodbye to a fellow soldier is never easy, but to say goodbye with a final salute to a family member is even harder, but I had you by my side so every step I took I knew you were taking it with me and we stood tall together with tears running down our cheeks and we sadly said goodbye and gave our final salute to our Uncle Tommy.

Now, I realize I had not faced the hardest duty as a soldier because now I stand alone facing you and as I am preparing to say my final goodbye I want to thank you for giving me the strength to render to you a final salute.

I am proud of you,

I love you and I will miss you

My cousin, my friend, my fellow soldier

Whispers of Love
by   Allison Bond

The love we have for you cannot be measured
nor can it be weighed
The time we had with you cannot be counted
by the hours or by the days

No words can express
the loss we feel inside
No touch can ease the pain
or wipe the tears we cry

You were always there for us
with your strength to guide us through
with helping hands, a gentle smile
your complaints were far and few

I know you are with us
watching down from above
You will help us take each step
you'll hold us up with your love

And the empty feeling we have within
with time will slowly subside
For when life has to end, we have to begin
to heal the wounds we feel inside

And it's inside we see your smile
through the mirror of our eyes
And it's your laughter we hear
on the wind blowing by

It's your voice we hear saying,
"be strong I'll get you through."
It's your touch we feel when crying,
crying the tears we have for you

And it's the memories we have
we'll treasure every day
like old photographs in a book-
a book we'll never put away...
